Cannot see the wood for the trees.
 나무만 보고 숲을 보지 못한다.

Can't get blood from a turnip.
 벼룩의 간을 빼먹는다.

Care is no cure.
 ⇒ Care killed a cat [the cat].
    근심은 몸에 해롭다.
      근심이 고양이를 죽였다.

Call a spade a spade.
 까놓고 말하다, 솔직히 말하라.

Carry two faces under on hood.
  한 개의 모자에 두 얼굴을 넣다.
   일거양득(一擧兩得). 일석이조(一石二鳥)

Cast not your pearls before swine.
 돼지에게 진주를 던져 주지 말아라.
  어리석은 자에게 가치 있는 말은 부질없다.

Cast never a clout till May is over.
    ⇒ Catch your bear before you sell its skin.
    ⇒ First catch your hare (then cook him.)
    ⇒ Sell the skin before one has killed the bear.
    ⇒ Don't count your chickens before they are hatched.
    ⇒ Do not halloo/halloa till you are out of the wood.
      가죽을 팔기 전에 (먼저) 곰을 잡아라.
        숲 밖으로 나갈 때까지 함성을 지르지 말라.
        안심할 수 있을 때까지는 기뻐 날뛰지 말라.
        5월이 오기 전에 외투를 벗지 말라.
   ( 미리 설쳐대지 말라는 의미로 김칫국부터 마시지 말라와 비슷한 의미.)

 팔은 안으로 굽는다.
  자선은 가정에서 시작된다.
  무엇보다 먼저 가족을 사랑하라.

Children have the qualities of the parents.
 자식은 양친의 성격을 이어 받는다.

 누워 떡 먹기. 시시한 일. 쉬운 일.

  헌 나무토막의 한 조각. 부전자전(父傳子傳).

  옷이 사람을 만든다.  옷이 날개.

 조령모개(朝令暮改).

Come empty, return empty.
 빈손으로 왔다가 빈손으로 간다.    고수레 공수거(空手來 空手去).

Coming events cast their shadows before.
 일이 일어나려면 반드시 그 조짐이 있게 마련이다.

Company in distress makes sorrow less.  
 함께 고민하면 슬픔은 덜어진다.

Constant dripping wears away the stone.
 낙수 물이 돌을 뚫는다.

Contentment is better than riches.
 足함을 아는 것은 富보다 낫다.

 떡 줄 놈은 생각도 않는데 김칫국 부터 마신다.

  습관은 제2의 천성이다.
  한 번 박힌 습관은 천성만큼 고치기 어렵다.

  분수에 맞는 생활을 하여라.
