  A: I'm out of film.  B: Don't you have another roll? 한통 더 있지 않니?
  A: No, that was my last. 아니, 그게 마지막이었어.
  B: Look, there. We can get some film at that photo studio.
     저길 봐. 저 사진관에서 필름을 살 수 있을 거야.
 
 
2. 전화걸기
1. [누구십니까?]의 표현
  Who is calling, please?  {Who are you?는 안됨}
  [=Who is speaking, please?, May I have your name, please?, May I ask      who's calling?]
  Who am I speaking to, please? (caller가 receiver에게 물을 때)

2. 접니다.
  This is he(she).
  [=This is Tom speaking. speaking, It's me(스스럼 없는 연인들 사이에서)

3. 이 선생님의 소개로 전화드렸습니다.
  Mr. Lee referred me to you.
  [=Mr. Lee gave me your name and phone number.]

4. 지금 안 계십니다.
  1) He is not in at the moment.
    [=He is out at the moment.

  2) He is away on a business trip this week.
    (장거리나 장기간 부재중인 경우)

  3) I'm afraid he just stepped out for lunch. 방금 점심식사하러 나갔어요.
    [=I'm afraid he has gone out to have lunch.]

5. 전화해 달라고 전해 주십시오.
  Would you tell him to call me back later?
  [=Please tell him that I want to have him call.]

6. 자네 전화야.
  It's for you.
  [=For you. I'll get him for you.(그분에게 돌려 드리지요.)

7. 다른 전화를 받고 있습니다.
  1) He is on another line.
    [=He's talking on the other phone line.]

  2) I'm afraid it won't be finished soon. 곧 끝날 것 같지 않습니다.

  3) I'm afraid he's tied up at the moment. 죄송하지만 그는 무척 바쁩니다.
    [=I'm afraid he's busy right now.]

8. 전화를 받지 않더군요.
  There's no answer.
  [=They don't answer.]
  Hello, this is Tom, I'm out now, but if you leave a message, I'll call         you back as soon as possible. Thank you.
  안녕하십니까? 탐입니다. 제가 지금 부재중이니 만약 메시지를 남겨 놓으시      면, 곧 전화 드리겠습니다. 감사합니다.

9. 전화로 데이트 신청시
  Are you free next Saturday? 다음 토요일에 시간 있습니까?
  [=Won't you come with me next Saturday?
  =Would you come with me next Saturday?
  =How about coming with me next Saturday?
  =Why don't you come with me next Saturday?]

10. 전화가 잘 들리지 않는다.(공중전화로 전화시 소음)
  I can not hear you.
  [=I'm having trouble hearing you.]

11. 이 씨가 네명 있습니다.
   We have four Lees here.
   Which Lee would you like to speak to? 어느 이씨입니까?
   Do you know first name? [성(last name)보다 이름(first name) 사용)

12. 상대방에게 자신의 전화번호를 알려 줄 때
   시외 국번은 꼭 지역번호(area code)를 붙인다.

13. 전화를 끊다. (Cut the phone.이 아니다. 전화선을 칼로 끊어버리다.)
   Hang up the phone.
   [=Ring off the phone.]

14. 여보세요? 바꿔주시겠습니까?
  Hello? May I speak to John, please?
  Hello? Is Mark there?
  Hello? Is Mark in?

15. 잠시만 기다리세요.
  On moment, please.
  please hold.
