핵심: 끊어서 백 자리 단위로 읽는다.
그 뒤에 billion, million, thousand 등을 붙여 준다.
hundred 다음에 and 를 넣을 수도 있고 넣지 않을 수도 있다.

12. "----은 ---의 몇배다"의 표현
This tree is twice as tall as that. = This is two times as tall as that. = This tree is as tall again as that. = This tree is twice the height of that. = This tree is twice taller than that. (이 나무는 저 나무의 두배다.)

13. 분수의 배수

14. 빈도수
once(=one time), twice(=two times), thrice(three times), four times, five times----many times. |
15. 관용적 표현
He is in his thirties.(그는 30 대다.) He is in his early/mid/late thirties.(그는 30 대 초반/중반/후반이다.)
Ten to one he will pass the examination. = Nine (cases) out of ten he will pass the examination. (10 중 팔구 그는 시험에 합격할 것이다.) |

핵심: 위의 수사들은 (1)과 같이 막연한 수를 나타 낼 때는 복수로 쓰며 (s) 를 붙인다.
(2) 앞에 수사가 붙으면 단수가 된다. 단 million(s)도 가능.
(3) 앞에 수사가 붙고 뒤에 of 가 없으면 단수만 가능.
